GENERAL INFORMATION
An annual, budget-friendly blues dance exchange. It focuses entirely on music, dancing, and community.
This year, Jeff Miller has passed the torch to Tidewater Blues Dance to take over responsibility for organizing and operating Dirt Cheap Blues.
VENUES & LOCATIONS
At the historic First Lutheran Church. It is located on Colley Avenue in Norfolk. You are welcome to park in the parking lot behind the church or on the street. Please enter from the rear parking lot entrance. Ring the doorbell for entry as the doors will be locked throughout the duration of the event.
Activities are spread across the Tidewater area including Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Hampton.

You can choose beach time or urban exploration throughout the Tidewater area. Mix-and-match activities as you please.
Take a walk on the Elizabeth River Trail. Wander the Pagoda & Oriental Garden. Explore the Chelsea District. Visit the Chrysler Museum of Art. Stroll through the Hermitage Museum & Gardens. Visit the Virginia Zoo. Check out the Norfolk Botanical Garden. Visit Hampton University’s campus. Play arcade games at Pixels Pints & Bytes.
Dancing starts at 8:00 pm with an intro lesson. Social dancing with DJ’ed music begins at 9:00 pm and continues until 3:00 am. The schedule is the same Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
